Last week we were on hiatus due to friends (Ms. Purple and Ms. Green) coming into town. On this Good Fashion Friday we are happy to bring you the joys of London Fashion Week. Vivienne Westwood Red Label, Temperley London, Graeme Black, Ossie Clark, and Giles collections could go straight from the runway to my coveted closet. I felt most of the other designers lacked originality and the clothes were similar to anything you could find in any mall around the country (and for a lot less. Maybe the economy has stifled some of the creativity.) Regardless, I was still able to find 30 pieces total for work, cocktail, and fun in the posts below that will enhance your wardrobe, spirit, and powerfulness. Thank you London.

Also vote for the pink and white dress you liked more in our Fashion City Wars poll.

London fashion is known for its strongly tailored suits, and for spring RTW this tradition remains.  If I had to choose one designer to pick from this season it would be Graeme Black.  This label offers great pieces in black, white, gray, and gold for the Power Woman to wear in the office/Happy Hour.  I picked 10 pieces from several designers who showed their collections in London this season, that will hopefully inspire you to look your best in the office this season.

With cocktail dresses you can have a lot more fun than your 9 to 5 wear, so show off your personality with some color, a lot of color.  Luella brought colored dresses down the runway one after another.  Ossie Clark went BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT!  And Jaeger London gave us a romantic maxi dress.  So many dresses so little cocktail time. Enjoy.

For the woman who wears black as her signature color top 10 list is for you.  Tempereley London had some Chanelesque black and white pieces, Giles gave is the black and gray cocktail dress, and Issa showed off the accessory of the season, toned legs.  Before going to the gym check out the options below.

Just CavalliWelcome to GlamourGirlNow’s 1st ever Fashion Friday.  Each Friday we will be bringing you the latest trends in Fashion.  The high and low brands and some of the gossip in between.  I am a true fashionista so I will give you all I got for Fashion Friday.    This week I am offering the best of Milano with the top 10 Cocktail dresses and work-wear to get you through the week.  I believe accessories can make and break an outfit and Milan definitely brought the heels, bags, and jewelry we all need to get through the season.  Overall I felt Milan could have stepped up their game some more, and most of the designers lacked originality, but there were a few shining moments like Bottega Veneta cream ruffled dress featured in work wear or their cognac brown heels in the accessories post.  Put them together and you have  a beautiful outfit for spring.  Sit back and flip through the images so you can get a better idea of what to shop for this weekend.

Ciao,                                                                                                                                                                                                              GlamourGirl

P.S. Don’t forget to vote in this months Cover Model poll between Beth Ditto and Heidi Klum.

Spring is here. Now what do you wear to work? Milan offered an arrange of options from structured to colored to soft. Milan offered it all for Spring 09: The two-piece suit, the below the knee skirt, and the colored polka dotted dress. Remember take what you like from the runway and make it your own.

I love the cocktail dress.  I love how it makes your feel pretty after a long day.  Milan offers a variety of ways to make you feel gorgeous.  There is the Little Black Dress by Fendi, the cocktail jumpsuit in black by MaxMara and metallic silver by Missoni.   I usually opt for color like the Maurizio Pecoraro sea foam green dress or the pale yellow Pollini dress.  I think Ms Gold would love the gold and purple metallic dress by Aquilano Rimondi to go out on one of her dates.

Below are images of the best of Milan accessories.  Milan brought out the browns; cognac, light, tan, dark, orangy.  There were elements of colors in the accessories on the runway, but they were far and in-between. Sorry ladies, but we are staying away from the ballet slippers and working the heels 3 inches or higher of course. Lets not forget the jewelry;  bracelets are chunky and brown or bangles and colorful.  With all the sea of browns and neutrals you can flirt up an outfit with colorful necklaces.  The purses also remained neutral and woven but Fendi brought out a classic snake skin bag that you will want to take it everywhere.
