I checked my email and received wonderful news, Catherine Malandrino is having a 20% off sale on her Fall 2008 collection.  Then I looked out my window and was quickly reminded I don’t live in NYC so I won’t be participating in this shopping experience.  For all you lucky to be living in New York right now or will be in the NYC tomorrow (and have some spare change) check it out I know you won’t be disappointed.  Malandrino is one of my favorite designers because she keeps it feminine and strong at the same time.  This is a must for every Power Woman’s wardrobe.  Location details listed below.

Wednesday, October 15th

I also checked out the sale at her online store http://shop.catherinemalandrino.com/, and it looks like some pieces from her spring collection.  I didn’t enjoy most of what I saw I thought the below pieces were quite a deal for $73.50 and $157 respectively, and it is a savings of 70% off.

Jason Wu is a 25 year old fashion designer born in Taipei but raised in Vancouver, and educated at the prestigious Parsons School of Design.  His Spring 09′ collection showed on the first day of New York Fashion Week and he was one of the few designers that I wanted every piece in the collection.  His clothing represents a romantic American classic look full of color and flirty skirts, and fantastic pieces for women in the boardroom.

Sometimes I wonder what I will wear for all those important meet and greets during school.  I think this outfit by L’Wren Scott is great. Can I just send this picture in for my Why MBA essay?

Hey GlamourGirls.  I was researching the resort collections this past Spring and discovered the great Naeem Khan.  These dresses are all by designed by him.  I admit I am late to the Naeem train.  He launched his first show in 2005.  His designs have recently been seen on Carrie Underwood and Eva Langoria.  I just love all the colorful detail on these dresses.  Plus these dresses make picking shoes a lot more fun because many different colors and styles can be worn.  If you can’t afford Naeem during this wonderful recession it is ok.  Just remember color color color on your next shopping trip..  Check out more on Naeem Khan in his website NaeemKhan.com and about the designer himself in this article from Rising Star Designer Naaem Khan.
